Here is part of of my collection of vintage laces. Some of them I have purchased, a couple of pieces Mom gave me. It's been forever since I have done any garment sewing, but have been wanting to make a thing or two. One project that has been on the back burner for, literally, a couple of years or more, is a little lightweight jacket embellished with different laces. I have it cut out and some of lace sewn on the sleeves. We'll see how it turns out. I always have high hopes for the garments I sew and they never live up to my expectations. Worse case, I suppose, the lace is still good and can be recycled into other projects!Monday, January 19, 2009
